About Me

Taking care of the people we love as they grow older is one of the most beautiful journeys in life—but it is also one of the most challenging. If you are trying to figure out how to make a home safe, comfortable, and independent for yourself or an aging parent, I want you to know one thing first: I completely understand.

I am a 63-year-old man, I’m you and my life is dedicated to supporting seniors every single day. I currently work at a senior activity center, where I have the privilege of connecting with older adults from all walks of life. This daily, hands-on work keeps me deeply attuned to the real-world needs, questions, and vibrant stories of seniors in our community.

My family has also walked this path at home. For a long time, my 93-year-old father lived with my sister, and we navigated the daily realities, compromises, and emotional struggles that come with caregiving. Though he peacefully passed away this past January, the profound personal lessons we learned from managing his caretaker needs remain at the very heart of my mission. I know firsthand the worry of preventing falls, the stress of coordinating daily routines, and the deep desire to preserve a loved one's dignity.

This website wasn't born out of a textbook. It was built on a lifetime of professional expertise, family dedication, and community service.

Over the years, my career has focused entirely on senior safety, mobility, and home structure:

• Senior Center & Community Support: Through my current role at a senior activity center, I see firsthand what it takes to keep older adults engaged, independent, and thriving as they age.

• Medical Transport Insights: Our family previously owned and operated a dedicated wheelchair and ambulance transport service. This gave me years of hands-on insight into the physical mobility challenges seniors face when navigating their environments.

• Building from the Inside Out: As a former licensed contractor, I understand the literal bones of a house. I know exactly what it takes behind the drywall to make physical modifications—like secure grab bars—safe, sturdy, and lasting.

• Specialized Housing Advocacy: In the past, I held a formal Certified Aging-in-Place Specialist (CAPS) certification, training extensively to spot hidden household hazards. Combined with my four years as a real estate agent helping families navigate major life transitions, I know how to evaluate a property's long-term potential.
